Erik ten Hag has supplied an update on his squad in advance of Monday night's Premier League fixture at Crystal Palace.

The Reds are preparing for the 20:00 BST kick-off and welcomed defender Jonny Evans and striker Anthony Martial back into first-team training on Thursday morning.

Evans has been out since the Chelsea game, with Martial missing since undergoing an operation in January. The Frenchman's last appearance was in the home defeat to Bournemouth towards the end of last year.

There is positive news coming out of the latest session, ahead of Monday's Crystal Palace game.

However, captain Bruno Fernandes is a doubt for the Selhurst Park clash, while Scott McTominay also faces a race against time to make the journey south.

"Scott [McTominay] didn't train so far this week but I expect him back in training on Saturday," Ten Hag said at his pre-match press conference. "Then we will have to see up to the game if he is 100 per cent available or for [only] a part in the game.

"Then also, after the game, we had an issue with Bruno [Fernandes] so he is a doubt for Monday, but he will fight to be a part of this game, as we know with Bruno.

"Never rule him out for any game and he is giving his best to be available. Jonny Evans returned today in the team training and, tomorrow, we will see if it is enough before the two days before the game. Anthony [Martial] was partly in the team training."

Marcus Rashford is still absent, along with Lisandro Martinez, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw, Raphael Varane, Tyrell Malacia and Willy Kambwala.

"His issue after Coventry hasn't healed," added the boss. "I can't tell [you] when he will be back in training."

However, the boss did suggest in his club media interview that there was still a slim chance of the England man being available.

PALACE'S TEAM NEWS

The home side look set to receive a huge boost after influential defender Marc Guehi returned to training. The England centre-back could be available for the first time since Oliver Glasner's appointment as manager.

Key midfielder Eberechi Eze should also be fit, with Jefferson Lerma and Cheick Doucoure also hoping to be in contention.

Ex-Red Sam Johnstone is out, with another former United keeper in Dean Henderson set to play, while Rob Holding and Matheus Franca could still be sidelined.
