Nominations are now open for the Ian Stirling Fan Award 2024.

The award was launched last year following Ian’s tragic passing at the age of 57, in honour of his diehard support of the club and, in particular, his heroic efforts on behalf of United fans via the Manchester United Supporters Trust and the Fans’ Forum.

The award should go to a fellow supporter who has gone above and beyond in their support for the club, other fans or the local community.

United have honoured the memory of the long-time supporter Ian Stirling with an annual award in his name.

You can nominate your choice by simply filling in the form here and telling us why the person you have chosen deserves wider recognition for their efforts.

The deadline for submissions is 17:00 BST on Tuesday 30 April and the winning supporter will be revealed at our end-of-season awards night.

At last season's end-of-year awards night, chief operating officer Collette Roche introduced the prize, and posthumously announced Ian as the inaugural winner. His award was accepted on his behalf by his wife, Lynn, and daughter, Lucy.

Speaking on the night, Lynn said: “We are immensely proud of everything that Ian has achieved through his dedication and determination to make a positive difference whenever possible.”

The award will now be a permanent fixture at each year's ceremony, and presented alongside the other traditional player accolades.
