Wayne Rooney admits he celebrated his first league title with Manchester United by jumping around the house on his own.
In part one of our exclusive four-part interview, Wayne recalls his maiden title in 2006/07, a season in which United broke Chelsea's two-year stranglehold on English football. "I remember jumping up and down in my house [when Chelsea failed to beat Arsenal at the Emirates] and then, after a couple of minutes, thinking: 'What am I doing?' [laughs]."
Rooney also talks to MUTV's Stewart Gardner about his relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo following the 2006 World Cup ("people were wondering if we could still play together") and how good it felt to finally get his hands on a winners' medal.
The second part of our exclusive interview, with a focus on the 2007/08 season, will be published at 08:00 BST on Sunday 9 September.
Wayne Rooney was speaking ahead of the launch of his new book, My Decade In The Premier League , out Thursday 13 September through Harper Collins.
