Manchester United start the defence of the Manchester Senior Cup tonight (Thursday) with a home clash against Bury.
Warren Joyce's squad lifted the trophy at the Etihad Stadium in May at the end of a successful season and will aim to get off to a winning start against the Shakers at Moss Lane, Altrincham. The Reds' strong line-up includes the likes of Joshua King, Federico Macheda, Scott Wootton and Robbie Brady.
"The Manchester Senior Cup has been a good tournament for us in the last few years," Joyce told ManUtd.com. "There are always good games as the lower-league clubs certainly use the competition as an outing for the first-team squad players. So they are always tough matches and we expect nothing less on Thursday night."
Christian Dibble, son of former Manchester City keeper Andy, has been named in goal for Ben Futcher's side.
United: Johnstone; Vermijl, Wootton, M.Keane, Blackett; Brady, Tunnicliffe, Petrucci, Lingard; King, Macheda. Subs: Gollini, Veseli, Fornasier, Ekangamene.
The match is live on MUTV with kick off at 19:00 BST.
