Papers: Reds' fixture chaos
Fixture Pile-Up Threatens Reds
Michael Carrick fears Manchester United now face battles on two new fronts... fixture congestion and injuries. It seems that the biggest obstacles standing in the way of their treble bid are not the teams they need to overcome, but the physical demands of a hectic schedule, with an added FA Cup replay against Middlesbrough to come. As England midfielder Carrick said: "We could do without the added game. Our schedule is a bit choked now but that is part and parcel of football. This is the first time we've had a lot of injuries and we've had to grind it out. But the spirit here is unbelievable. You don't become a great team by playing pretty football and winning well every week. You have to grind out results and show character and we have done that in the last few weeks."
