Carrick: It's a pleasure
Reds midfielder Michael Carrick is having the time of his life at Old Trafford.
The former Tottenham man has been in fine form this season but says it’s easy to play well in such a strong side.
“It’s a pleasure to play in this team,” Carrick told MUTV. “We’re playing some great football, we have world-class players and we’ve experienced some good times together.
“I’m confident, I’m enjoying my football and I feel like I’m playing some decent stuff. Hopefully it continues and I keep getting better.”
Carrick, who was awarded Setanta Sports’ Man of the Match award for his performance against Everton on Saturday, will be hoping to retain his spot in Sir Alex’s starting XI for United’s next game. That’s on Sunday 8 February, against Carrick’s former club, West Ham United.
“It’s nice to have no midweek match,” he said. “Now we can rest and recover in preparation for the hectic schedule coming up.”
