Form guide: Bottom of the group with a solitary point from four matches, Besiktas need to win both their final games to stand a chance of qualifying for the Europa League ahead of CSKA Moscow. The Black Eagles will, however be in bullish mood after moving to within four points of the Turkish league summit with a 3-0 win over Fenerbahce on Saturday. It was the champions’ seventh consecutive league victory, their biggest of the season and their first over their city rivals since April 2005. United are undefeated in 24 European home games stretching back to AC Milan in February 2005, and go into the game on the back of an easy home win over Everton, which leaves the Reds second in the table.
Ins and outs: Czech defender Tomas Sivok is suspended for the visitors after picking up four yellow cards in the competition, while Filip Holosko (broken fibula) Ridvan Simsek (groin), Nihat Kahveci (hamstring), Hakan Arikan (wrist) and Ismail Koybasi (ankle) could all miss out. For United, defenders Gary Neville, Rio Ferdinand, John O’Shea, Jonny Evans and Fabio are all either out or very doubtful, but Dimitar Berbatov and Ji-sung Park (both knee) are back in contention. Sir Alex Ferguson has declared he will field some of his youngsters, with Darron Gibson, Gabriel Obertan and Rafael all set to start.
