Reds going all out for victory

Sir Alex Ferguson will play his strongest eleven in Copenhagen on Wednesday evening in a bid to secure a safe passage through to the Champions League knock-out stages.

After three consecutive victories, the Reds are leading the way at the top of Group F with nine points. If the game between Benfica and Celtic ends in either a draw or a win for the Scots, a point against the Danes will be good enough for United to secure qualification.

But Sir Alex is refusing to rely on results elsewhere and is instead fully focused on ensuring the Reds leave Denmark with a victory.

"One point isn't enough, we're going to try and win it," he declared. "We want to keep the form right so I'll be playing my strongest team.

"Copenhagen are a good technical and organised team and their approach play was very good at Old Trafford in the last game. But we played well on the night and could have scored a few more goals. We did what we were expected to do and won the match, quite comfortably in fact.

"I don't expect them to change how they play on Wednesday," he added. "They'll continue to play their football and I'm sure their approach play with be very good. But as long as we defend properly, I think we have a good chance."
