FA Cup Draw
08/12/2009 22:25, Report by Matt Nichols

Leeds book OT return

Leeds United will play at Old Trafford for the first time in almost six years after eventually overcoming non-league minnows Kettering Town 5-1 in their FA Cup second round replay.

The tie will take place on Sunday 3 January, KO 13:00 GMT and will be shown live on ITV1.

It took an additional thirty minutes for the Whites to prevail after the sides were locked at 1-1 at full time. Luciano Becchio's first-half opener for Leeds was cancelled out by Anthony Elding's strike in the second half for Kettering.

The first half of extra time was goalless, but the home side's domination and fitness levels eventually told thanks to goals from Mike Grella (2), Tresor Kandol and Jermaine Beckford in the final 15 minutes. The League One side would have hoped to have wrapped the tie up much earlier in a game where they peppered the Kettering goal, registering 44 efforts in all.

When Leeds were last at Old Trafford in February 2004, they forced a 1-1 draw. Paul Scholes gave the Reds the lead shortly after the hour before soon-to-be-Red Alan Smith equalised just three minutes later.
