Bolton ponder tactics
Gary Megson has a tactical dilemma ahead of Bolton's visit to Old Trafford this weekend.
The Trotters manager broke with his club's tradition by switching to a 4-4-2 formation against Arsenal last weekend and, although they were ultimately beaten, he saw enough positives to consider another switch on Saturday.
"I was pleasantly surprised because this club has had a formation that it has stuck with for quite a long time now," Megson told the official Bolton website.
"In playing with the two upfront last Saturday we created a lot more and the ball stayed in the opposition's half for a lot longer. There was a lot more movement, a lot more crosses and a lot of good things about it."
Naturally, playing with a second striker at Old Trafford would create more room for United's attack to exploit, and Megson admits he has to strike the right formational balance.
"If we do play like that then we have to make sure that we don't become easy to play against going the other way," he said. "We'll try and attack, but we have to have the right players and they have to be available. It's food for thought."

On the attack?
