Tour 2010 Mascot Competition - Terms and Conditions
Entry
- Manchester United Limited (“Manchester United”) is the promoter of this prize draw (“Prize Draw”).

The Prize Draw is open to children aged between 8 and 10 years old (as at the dates of the matches below); however entry to the Prize Draw:
(a) must be made by their Parent or Guardian, aged 18 or over (the “Entrant”); and
(b) is subject to these terms and conditions (“Conditions”).
To enter the Prize Draw, the Entrant must have submitted their details by 23:59 (local time) on the following dates:
12th July for the Prize relating to the Toronto match;
14th July for the Prize relating to the Philadelphia match;
19th July for the Prize relating to the Kansas match; and
21st July for the Prize relating to the Houston match,
(each a “Closing Date” and together the “Closing Dates”). - By entering the Prize Draw the Entrant agrees to be bound by these Conditions and confirms that all information submitted is true, current and complete. Manchester United reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants and may, in its sole discretion disqualify any Entrant that fails to satisfy the eligibility requirements.
- The Prize Draw is not open to employees of Manchester United Limited (or its associated companies or subsidiaries) or their families.
Prize
- The winners of the Prize Draw will be the first names to be selected at random from all of the eligible entries received on or before the Closing Dates (the “Winner”).
- Only the Winners shall receive notification from Manchester United. The Winners will be notified within five days of the Closing Date, and the Winners may request a particular date for utilising the Prize (subject to availability and, in any event, to Manchester United’s discretion). If Manchester United cannot contact the Winner within 24 hours, the Winner forfeits the Prize and another Winner will be drawn. Following the successful notification, the Prize tickets will be posted to the Winner.
- The decision of Manchester United is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

The prize shall be:
(a) the entitlement for one Winner to have their child be the official team mascot at one of the matches being held as part of the Manchester United 2010 Tour of USA and Canada (being the matches held in Toronto, Philadelphia, Kansas and Houston);
(b) two match tickets for the match (one for the mascot and one for the Winner, who must accompany the mascot to the match); and
(c) a full replica kit for the mascot
(each a “Prize” and together the “Prizes”). - Ancillary costs and expenses associated with the Prizes, such as travel, accommodation and subsistence, will not be provided by Manchester United and shall be borne by the Winners.
- The Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternative is available. If a Winner, drawn at random, is unable or unwilling to accept a Prize, does not provide the consent requested at paragraph 11 below, or the Winner’s child is deemed to be unsafe to participate pursuant to paragraph 12 below, subsequent draws will take place until a new Winner is found who is able/willing to accept the respective Prize and provide the necessary consent.
- The Winners will be required to give their consent to the following: (i) for the Winners’ and their children’s names to be disclosed to any person requesting that Manchester United confirm the identity of the Prize Winners and mascots; (ii) for the Winners’ and their children’s names and/or photographs to be published for promotional purposes; and (iii) to the Winners and their children being treated by a qualified emergency first aid provider should the Winners or the children require any medical attention at the match.
- The Winners must provide to Manchester United, prior to the match, any information concerning any known medical condition, recent illness or injury from which the respective child suffers. Manchester United reserves the right to refuse the Winner’s child to be a mascot at the respective match, due to health and safety issues, if it is deemed by Manchester United unsafe for the respective Winner’s child to participate.
- Subject to paragraph 11 and 12 above, details of the Prize Draw Winner will be made available upon request from Manchester United Ticketing & Membership Services, Manchester United Limited, Sir Matt Busby Way, Old Trafford, Manchester, M16 0RA six weeks after the Closing Date (subject to data protection legislation).
- Manchester United reserves the right to cancel or amend the Prize Draw or these Conditions without notice in the event of the occurrence of circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
- The Prize Draw, together with these Conditions, is governed by the laws on England and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
