Gallery: Global celebrations

So, where were you when United became the most successful team in English league football?

At Ewood Park in Blackburn? In central Manchester? On a beach in Brazil? A bar in Boston? Whatever the location, we’re sure you celebrated wildly.

After all, 19 titles is a momentous feat, an achievement that takes the Reds past Liverpool and into the record books. Not even Sir Alex thought this day would arrive when he took the reigns at Old Trafford back in 1986.

Little wonder, then, that Reds around the world were partying like it’s 1999 all over again. We asked you to email us your unique celebration pictures – and you did not disappoint.

We’ve collated a selection of the best entries so far, for your viewing pleasure, featuring fans from as far afield as Australia, South Africa, Canada and Malaysia.

If you’d like to share your photos with your fellow supporters via ManUtd.com, email matchpics@manutd.co.uk. Please remember to include a caption for your photo, including names and locations.
