Jones' first title joy

Phil Jones struggled to put into words how it felt to collect his first title winners' medal on Sunday.

The defender was one of a number of players to sample their first title triumph on a memorable day which also saw Sir Alex bid farewell to the Old Trafford faithful. And Jones hopes this will be the first of many medals to come.

"It is an incredible feeling [to win the league]. I can’t sum up in words what it means to me, my family and my friends. It is an incredible feeling and it is an incredible day.

"We have just picked a trophy up and we want to win more. Hopefully, this is the first of many and I’m sure the new boss will come in and do another fantastic job."

The England international also paid tribute to United's outgoing manager. "He has been an incredible manager over the years. I am just so thankful that I managed to play under him and win a title; his last as United manager.

"Personally, I can’t thank him enough for what he has done for me. He has played me at the
