Your Wembley XI: Back five

Sir Alex Ferguson has no easy task when it comes to selecting his United team, as you'll find out by voting in our Carling Cup final polls.

We want you to pick who you'd like to play against Harry Redknapp's Tottenham Hotspur, starting with two pieces of information:

- Sir Alex has already confirmed that Irish midfielder Darron Gibson will start, leaving 10 berths up for grabs

- Last Friday the boss confirmed: "The young lads who’ve played in the competition all along will play."

First, we'll fill the back-five berths - 'keeper, full-backs and centre-backs

In goal, Edwin van der Sar hasn't played in a Carling Cup tie since the 2006 final, so it should be a choice between Ben Amos, Ben Foster and Tomasz Kuszczak.

John O'Shea has been an ever-present at left-back in this season's competition, but do you think he should start ahead of Patrice Evra? On the opposite flank, will it be Rafael, Gary Neville or Wes Brown?

The latter pair could also feature in the centre of defence, or will you choose to leave them out and opt for Jonny Evans and Nemanja Vidic? Or how about throwing rookie defender James Chester in at the deep end?

The choice is yours. Have your say at, and we'll publish the most popular XI on this Friday.
