The latest of our scouting reports - from Talking Reds poster Paul Baynes - focuses on the Middlesbrough and England starlet...
Player name: Adam Johnson
Club: England, Middlesbrough
Position: Left winger
Age: 21
Match Scouted: England 1-1 Germany, 22 June 2009
Key Moment: Constantly took on his marker and tried to beat him down the flanks. Deservedly picked up the Man of the Match award.
Strengths: Fast, good footballing brain, excellent left foot - a proper winger.
Weaknesses: Possibly his level of consistency when it comes to crossing.
Suitability: With Ronaldo's departure imminent we could do with extra wing cover for Nani, Park and Tosic.
Estimated Cost: Relegated Middlesbrough would be relunctant to sell as they attempt to bounce straight back into English football's top flight, but I imagine they would be tempted by an offer between £8-12million from United.
