Talking Reds scout Schousboe earmarks the Serbian international as a future midfielder at Old Trafford...
Player name: Gojko Kacar
Team: Serbia, Hertha Berlin
Position: Central midfield
Age: 22
Match Scouted: Serbia 1-3 Sweden, 23 June 2009
Key Moment: Had a close-range header well saved by Sweden goalkeeper Johan Dahlin, before scoring from the resulting corner.
Strengths: Good physical presence, determination and heading abilty.
Weaknesses: He needs to nail down a definitive position - he spent the start of the 2007/08 season playing at centre-back. I believe his best position is midfield.
Suitability: We need to start thinking about cover for Scholes, and possibly Hargreaves, and Kacar would fit perfectly into our squad with his talent and will to win. He's also a real threat from set pieces and would definitely chip in with a few goals.
Estimated Cost: No fee has been mentioned, but Hertha Berlin are unlikey to be able to resist good offers. A bid of around £8-10 million should do the trick.
