Scouting: Jukka Lehtovaara

He may have found himself on the losing side, but the Finland stopper still impressed Talking Reds scout Owenzy...

Player name: Jukka Lehtovaara
Team: Finland, TPS
Position: Goalkeeper
Age: 21

Match Scouted: Finland 0-2 Spain, 22 June 2009

Key Moment: Made a handful of outstanding saves from Leon, Suarez, Garcia and Granero.

Strengths: Shot-stopping and reactions. Was nominated for Finland’s Young Player of the Year award in 2005 and 2007.

Weaknesses: Still relatively inexperienced, but the chance to represent his country at the Championships will have given him great confidence.

Suitability: With Van der Sar coming close to retirement we should always be on the lookout for talented young goalkeepers. I think he would love the chance to step up to a higher level of football in England.

Estimated Cost: Around £3-5million.
