Sweden's free-scoring, or rather three-scoring, front man will be on many club's shopping lists after his display against Belarus. Talking Reds' Ama4ManU thinks United should take a punt...
Player name: Marcus Berg
Team: Sweden, FC Groningen
Match scouted: Sweden 5-1 Belarus, 16 June 2009
Key moment: He scored a hat-trick, and in some style. His first two goals were out of an Ibrahimovic textbook - the first the result of some brilliant footwork, his second a fine volleyed finish - and his last was an instinctive striker's goal.
Strengths: Has a natural eye for goal. He's also stong, good on the ground and in the air, and he brings others around him into play.
Weaknesses: Maybe need to see more of him to determine weaknesses because his first outing in the tournament was pretty much flawless.
Suitability: An ideal out-and-out striker that either Rooney or Tevez (if he stays) can play behind. He'd also do well if he was played in support of Berbatov, who could drop off and played behind him.
Estimated cost: As Groningen's top scorer in the Eredivisie last season, they might be unwilling to let him go and if he keeps up this form his price will rocket. But I think a bid in the range of £7-10million is worth it.
