It’s fantastic – the lads are great to deal and we have good banter. One of the best I’ve ever worked with was Eric [Cantona]. I’ll never forget when he got presented with an award from one of the branches. It was a vase on a plinth, but Eric didn’t realise it was two pieces and suddenly there was a big crash and it smashed everywhere. The branch said they’d sort another award for him, but he got down on his hands and knees to pick up the pieces and insisted he’d take it home so his wife could make it into an ashtray!
