Sunday 28 February
20:48 I'm on the train back from London, feeling tired but very happy with United's latest trophy. Why not join in the celebrations by downloading our exclusive wallpaper to your desktop. Thanks again for reading my blog. Over and out.
17:00 Right, I'm off down to the Mixed Zone to hopefully speak to a few very happy Reds. Thanks for reading my blog this weekend. Now, get off the internet and go and celebrate!
16:57 I lost my internet connection there for a few minutes... Never mind, though, because Villa have lost something far more significant: the Carling Cup final. That's right, United have won! It started horrificially but goals from Michael Owen and Wayne Rooney sealed the win. A small part of you has to feel sorry for the Villa fans, who were in great voice all afternoon, but this day is all about United.
16:52 The last thing either of these teams want is extra-time and another 30 minutes. Well, having said that, I'm sure Villa would happily take a late equaliser. And they almost got it there, with Richard Dunne heading wide at the back post.
16:48 Only six minutes to play at Wembley. It's going to be nail-biting stuff, too. Tomasz Kuszczak has just made an acrobatic save to tip the ball over the bar as Villa press for an equaliser. Today's attendance, by the way, is 88,596.
16:42 Did you know that If the Reds can hang on to this lead it will be the first time United have ever successfully defended a domestic cup? Oh, and just as I'm typing this Rooney's hit the post again. With another header. So close.
16:37 I can't tell you how hard it is to keep your cool in the press box sometimes. Wayne Rooney, on as a substitute, has just headed United in front with 17 minutes to play in the Carling Cup
