Since it’s an away match, I think United will adopt a cautious approach and play a 4-1-4-1 formation. The tactics will be to keep possession and keep it tight in midfield. Berbatov will make City's defenders tired and then we can introduce Hernandez in the last 20 minutes; with his pace he can open up their defence. I predict a 2-0 win for United with both Berbatov and Hernandez scoring, and man of the match performances from both Fletcher and Scholes.

I know Sir Alex Ferguson prefers to play 4-5-1 away from home, especially against a strong team, but I think if we want to score then we have to play a 4-4-2 attacking formation. If you look at Man City, they've only conceded 10 goals so far; they know how to defend against top teams as we saw against Chelsea. I would also like to see Ji-sung Park in the second half and change formation to 4-4-1-1, making him play as an attacking midfielder as he did in the World Cup for South Korea.

With Mancini preferring to play three reserved central midfielders, we're going to need wingers to stay wide and stretch them. This is going to require a 4-4-2 formation but to help put pressure on their midfield, Park would be ideal just behind the striker, making a 4-4-1-1. Berbatov likes to drop off and get involved in link-up play, but with Man City's defensive midfielders, I think it will be a bit too congested so I would choose Hernandez because of his ability to drift wide and pull defenders out of shape. Nani and Obertan should play on the wing as they like to drift inside behind the striker.

I think Sir Alex Ferguson will play Berbatov up front on his own. In big games we like to dominate with three in the middle. I hope Nani is fit; if not Park and Obertan should play on the wings – Obertan needs a big-game chance. I think we
