Our message board users were full of praise for the United players, and in particular the defenders, following Sunday's 1-0 FA Cup win over Liverpool.

"In the second half United played great. Not back to our top gear but still good. Great performances by Rio, Evra, Raf, Evans, Ando, Carrick and Giggs - they were all immense. Nani, Berba and Hernandez were also good."
"I like how Evans played, a really top performance including the header that almost went in. Hernandez played well, particularly when he was inching his way deeper into the box."
"Rio Ferdinand was absolutely brilliant and the absence of Vidic was not felt at all. Jonny Evans is getting his confidence back with his first appearance since the West Ham debacle."
"The entire backline were a class act – but Jonny Evans was awesome. As soon as I saw his name I knew Sir Alex had told him he needed to show us what he can do after the game he had against West Ham. He didn't disappoint, getting forward which he is good at. He had a strong penalty shout in the second half when Skrtel fouled him. Well done son!"
"A really good performance from the defence – Torres hardly had a kick all game. Once Gerrard was sent off the result was never really in any danger and we should have gone on to score more."
