18:55 Obviously we're all disappointed and there's no doubt the penalty decision proved crucial in the end. That said, we still had enough chances to regain the lead and it wasn't our day as that little bit of luck deserted us. There's still a long way to go in the title race, to say the least. Thanks for joining us today. (AM)
17:31 The mood in the press box (and the stadium) was quite sombre at full-time. A result like today’s can often feel like a defeat, though it obviously wasn't. Personally, I don't think we can dwell over missed opportunities or the ‘shoulder, woulder, coulders’ as Newcastle were quite simply outstanding at the back. Tim Krul was also magnificent in net and the Dutchman has to be considered for the man of the match award. (MF)
17:03 Lou Macari: "Even though it wasn't a penalty for Newcastle, we should still have enough firepower at Old Trafford to win. It just wasn't going to happen for us. It's disappointing because I was hoping for a victory. That's all I was looking for to be honest. I didn't really care how we played, as long as we won." The United legend agrees the performance was an improvement on recent displays although he doesn't think the Reds were great, certainly not throughout the 90 minutes. (AB)
