"I think it's important to understand that football has a wonderful power to build bridges," explained Academy director Brian McClair. "Certainly, the visit to the Menin Gate will be very thought-provoking for them and will be a point in their life where they will be able to look back and say: 'I'm glad I did that'. I'm sure it will be humbling but it will also be of great benefit. They are going to be given the time to pause and reflect what happens when others go and fight for a bigger cause." (AM)

According to the tabloids, the Brazilian ace has bought two of the giant canines and didn’t realise the pair were male and female – resulting in eight unexpected puppies. The Brazilian ace now has quite a job on his hands as adult Bernese can weigh up to eight stone and wolf down four meals a day! (MF)

There’s plenty of speculation regarding the future of Ryan Giggs, who according to The Sun, will be offered a new 12-month contract extension before the end of this season. The United legend is currently 13 appearances short of an incredible 900 games for the Reds and, given his current form and fitness, it’s hard to imagine him not reaching that milestone.
