Today at Old Trafford

The editorial team for , United Review and Inside United provide regular updates from the home of the Reds...

Sunday 22 April 2012

17:56 That's it from us today and if you haven't heard then, yes, City have cut our lead to three points. Sigh. A huge game now looms at the Etihad on the 30th. Anyway, see you again on Monday. (GT)

17:00 I've just had a chat on the phone with Treble winner Jaap Stam. The big Dutchman hadn't seen today's game so I filled him in - he couldn't believe the scoreline. Don't think many of us still can either! Jaap is, of course, returning to Old Trafford next month to take part in Soccer Aid and is particularly looking forward to linking up with former United and Dutch team-mates - Roy Keane, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Edwin van der Sar. And he's confident of another victory for the Rest of the World. (GT)

16:57 So as you probably know - and as we all probably expected - City are leading at Wolves at half-time. It's only 1-0 though, courtesy of Aguero, so let's see if the home side can muster something in the second period. If they don't, they're down. While we're just feeling down. Sigh. (AB)

16:10 The Wolves fans have been goading the City fans with "You're gonna win [insert alternative lyric] nothing." Hope they're right. (AB)

16:08 Dumbstruck and shell-shocked by what happened around 2 hours ago, we're now watching Manchester City's match in the sun at Molineux. It's goalless so far but Sergio Aguero has just missed the post by a whisker while Wolves has given us some
