Trivia: First Premier League XI

20 years ago this week, United kicked off the inaugural Barclays Premiership campaign at Sheffield United.

Brian Deane scored the very first goal in the new league and the Reds were defeated 2-1 at Bramall Lane despite Mark Hughes getting on the scoresheet.

So our trivia question this week was extremely straightforward. Name the starting line-up and two substitutes from that fixture on 15 August 1992.

United: Peter Schmeichel; Denis Irwin, Steve Bruce, Gary Pallister, Clayton Blackmore; Andrei Kanchelskis (Dion Dublin 69), Darren Ferguson, Paul Ince (Mike Phelan 8), Ryan Giggs; Brian McClair, Mark Hughes.

Look out for another poser next Thursday.
