Alexander Buttner completed a move to United this week from Vitesse Arnhem.
As he slots in below Nicky Butt in the Reds' roll of honour, it got us thinking about players whose surnames form the start of other ex-Reds' surnames.
For instance, another example is George Wall and Danny Wallace.
Some quick research revealed there have been many over the years but we focused on the four we can find who have all played since the 1980s. All the players involved made a first-team appearance for the Reds.
