Trivia: OT Internationals

Rafael and David De Gea will represent Brazil and Spain respectively during the Olympic football tournament at Old Trafford.

After Ryan Giggs and Tom Cleverley appeared on the hallowed turf for Great Britain in the 1-1 draw against Senegal, it got us thinking about other international matches at the Theatre of Dreams in the past.

We believe there are SIX non-English players who have played a competitive game for the Reds and also featured for their country in an international at Old Trafford.

Gluttons for punishment could also try to name the 16 players, by our reckoning, who have worn the England shirt at Old Trafford in full internationals.

We are only counting matches since the War so England's clashes against Scotland and Ireland in 1926 and 1938 are exempt. If a player did not get off the bench, it also does not count and they need not necessarily have actually been at United during the time of the appearance.
