Friday 16 March 2012

21:10 Disappointing night for our young Reds after the 2-1 FAYC defeat to Chelsea but we're still very much in the tie. There is no date yet for the semi-final second leg at Stamford Bridge but we'll be sure to let you know when it is as soon as we receive confirmation from the club. That's it from Today at Old Trafford this week. See you on Monday. (GT)

20:50 FT: United 1 Chelsea 2. The Blues gain the upper hand in the FA Youth Cup semi-final after goals from Amin Affane and Islam Feruz secure victory in the first leg at Old Trafford. James Wilson netted for the Reds. (GT)

20:30 GOAL! United 1 Chelsea 2 (Feruz, 68). The visitors retake the lead after Rudge loses possession in midfield, and Chalobah finds Islam Feruz who lets fly from 25 yards. (GT)

20:20 GOAL! United 1 Chelsea 1 (Wilson, 62). The Reds draw level after an attempted clearance from Alex Davey, from a United short corner, bounces off Lewis Baker into the path of James Wilson to slot through the legs of Chelsea keeper Jamal Blackman. (GT)

19:46 HT: United 0 Chelsea 1. After going behind to a 14th-minute strike from Amin Affane, the Reds have rallied and were unlucky not to draw level when Tyler Blackett's stunning 35-yard strike smacked the cross-bar. (GT)
