Answer: Scored at both ends

Wayne Rooney scored at both ends during Manchester United's 4-2 victory against Stoke City last weekend.

It's a pretty rare occurence, although Brede Hangeland did likewise in a 2-2 draw at Fulham in August, 2010.

Could you recall the last United player to do so in the Barclays Premier League?

The answer was former Reds idol David Beckham, who netted an own goal and scored at the right end in the 2-2 draw with Blackburn on August 23, 2001. Alan Mahon's set-piece flicked off Beckham's head and past Fabien Barthez but the midfielder atoned with an equaliser from a trademark free-kick.
