Today at Old Trafford

The editorial team for , United Review and Inside United provide regular updates from the home of the Reds...

Friday 21 September

17:13 Warren Joyce has praised Joshua King and Robbie Brady after their international debuts for Norway and Republic of Ireland respectively. "Kingy has come a long way in a short period of time," the Reserves boss told MUTV. "His fitness level is miles better now. Robbie has got some great quality - good skills, trickery and delivery. He could be a little fitter at the minute but he's got a target to get into his country's World Cup game which is coming up for them shortly." (AM)

16:45 United's Under-21s won a behind-closed-doors friendly against Wigan Athletic 1-0 today at The Cliff. Larnell Cole scored the only goal of the match after 32 minutes by showing his composure to fire home. Bebe had a header over the top and Cole went close to adding to his tally but was denied by a last-ditch tackle by Jonathan Lynch. (AM)

16:23 Fans attending Sunday's game at Anfield will be handed a letter written by Sir Alex Ferguson, urging them to "think hard about what makes United the best club in the world" amid concerns the fixture could be marred by distasteful chanting. You can read the full letter in our Football News section. (NC)

14:30 Laura Kane from MUTV has sent us video footage of the manager's press conference - see the link on the left. Over at Carrington, I've spoken to Jonny Evans, Nick has interviewed Tom Cleverley and Gemma covered Sir Alex's thoughts. (AM)
