Today at Old Trafford

10:31 One of the greatest 'Roses' results in United's history was achieved 16 years ago today. The Reds routed Leeds 4-0 on their own turf at Elland Road and could even afford a rare penalty miss by Eric Cantona. My standout memory from the match is Karel Poborsky's first - and probably his best - goal for the club. (He only scored six mind you...) I'll see if our video wizards can magically conjure up the clip for this page later. (AB)

10:15 As ever, I began my working day by compiling a round-up of the newspapers, which are today focused on England’s clash with Moldova tonight. The Sun includes an interview with Roy Hodgson, who insists Wayne Rooney will always be his main striker, while the Daily Express runs quotes from Michael Carrick, after the midfielder spoke to the media at a Three Lions press conference on Thursday. (MF)

10:05 Plenty of United players are in action tonight on international duty, including England where Michael Carrick will be hoping to earn his first cap in a competitive fixture since October 2006. Given how integral he's been to the Reds' fortunes since then, it's amazing to think he hasn't featured heavily in England's plans. Let's hope that changes now. (NC)

09:51 We've got a lot of exciting Wayne Rooney content to publish on the website in the next few days. A four-part video series, in fact. MUTV's Stewart Gardner sat down with Wayne earlier this week to look back at the striker's four title-winning seasons - 2006/07, 2007/08, 2008/09 and 2010/11 - during his time at Old Trafford. Keep an eye out. (NC)
