United kick off the 2012/2013 Champions League campaign with a home tie against Galatasaray next week.

The Reds have faced the Turkish side on four previous occasions, drawing three times and winning once - a 4-0 triumph at Old Trafford in what was effectively a dead rubber. A goalless stalemate in Istanbul was enough for the home side to progress at United's expense in the 1993/1994 campaign.

Although the four fixtures came in the space of two seasons, a total of 23 United players saw game-time in those ties.
