Paritosh: Welbeck or Valencia will start, most probably. Both can defend and be fast on the counter.
David Glickman: Jones and Carrick to sit deep with a very fluid/attacking front-four of Kagawa, Rooney, Welbeck and van Persie to break down Real and counter.
GZ: I see Jones getting an assignment from Sir Alex to keep Ronaldo under control so he could be one of our key players. I am not worried with attacking and am sure we will score at least two goals - I predict three.
Almasi: We need wingers who can assist the full-backs in their defensive job and winning balls against players like Ronaldo and Angel Di Maria. Despite his recent criticism, Antonio Valencia is still the best winger for assisting the right-back.
Champions07-08-09: I would play Carrick in the middle, lying deep, with Anderson to his left and Cleverley to his right, pushing up a bit more with Kagawa just behind the front two.
Philapalooza13: On the left, we could go with Kagawa (and I would suggest he come on as a sub), but Welbeck would be very useful in hassling their defenders and keeping them from playing it out from the back. That will disrupt their usual build-up play from the back and would give Rooney and RVP chances on the break.
Evo343: Why are Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic suddenly the favoured centre-backs? After Jonny Evans and Vidic were brilliant against Everton surely the same back-four will start in Madrid?
Shashank Lohia: Let RVP play as a lone striker and have Rooney and Jones handle Ronaldo. No standard formation can work, though, when playing against Ronaldo.
