If you take a look at the fixture list, United’s next eight league games could garner plenty of points and the draw at White Hart Lane might look an even better result further on in the season.

Credit is also due to the United fans who made the trip to a wintry White Hart Lane on Sunday. Travel wasn’t easy in those conditions. On arrival at Euston Station after the game, one look up at the departures board and you realised that the dominant word was “delays”. 

Eventually a Manchester-bound train was ready and as soon as the platform number was flashed up there was a stampede of people trying to get on the train. They were sprinting down the platform – it was like trying to get the last helicopter out of Saigon! But we made it home eventually - it’s all part of the joy of following United.

Tonight’s Under 21 game means the Paddy Crerand Show is on Tuesday on MUTV at 18.30 GMT.
