“The fans are always great in these games, they never let us down. I’m sure they’ll be the same again tomorrow night and that will be a huge boost to us."

Bring on United

Manchester United fans are being asked to arrive early at Old Trafford for Tuesday’s clash with Real Madrid to welcome the teams onto the pitch with an intimidating wall of noise, mosaic and surfer banners whilst chanting ‘Bring on United’.

In what promises to be a spectacular match, several fan groups will come together to inspire a European night to remember and Stretford End Flags are encouraging supporters to bring scarves and banners via the #Showyourcolours campaign on Twitter.

All fans are encouraged to get into the ground much earlier than usual with the main event starting 20 minutes before kick-off, beginning with a medley of classic United songs before a second track filled with commentaries from past classic European matches is played in rousing fashion.

The club has also worked with Reclaim United and the stadium music will be cut out five minutes before the players walk out the tunnel, allowing fans to come together and chant ‘Bring On United’.

As the players walk out, there will be surfer banners unfurled across the Stretford End and the East Stand lower tiers, plus fans in the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand tiers one and two will help to create a barcode scarf mosaic made of flags.

Wayne Rooney says: “The fans are always great in these games, they never let us down. I’m sure they’ll be the same again tomorrow night and that will be a huge boost to us. It can make it intimidating to our opponents. The support really helps drive us on.”
