Three amateur football teams were given a once-in-a-lifetime chance to play on Old Trafford’s hallowed turf this week, thanks to Manchester United, Chevrolet and FourFourTwo magazine. What’s more, they were coached by Reds legends Bryan Robson and Andy Cole.
Teams around the United Kingdom were asked to provide compelling reasons why they should be selected to play in a mini tournament at the Theatre of Dreams. In the end, Windle Labour (St Helens), Jubilee Rangers (Norwich) and Cal’s XI (Darwin) were selected for the honour.
Windle Labour, picked to participate because they had won just two games in their entire season before managing to avoid the drop by winning each of their last three, won the competition, beating a FourFourTwo side 4-0 in the final.

Chevrolet became United’s official automotive partner in 2012 and will feature on the Reds’ shirt from the 2014/15 season.
