Edwin van der Sar - The Dutchman had little to do by way of shot-stopping, but he was caught out by Ebanks-Blake's sharp turn and finish. Otherwise a spectator.

Wes Brown - Up against an in-form Matt Jarvis, Brown gave as good as he got for long periods, keeping him especially quiet in the second period.

Rio Ferdinand - A couple of uncharacteristically nervy moments from the defender, who had a difficult afternoon against Kevin Doyle.

Nemanja Vidic - Played despite suffering heavily from illness, and the skipper again shone - although he won't be happy with the manner of Wolves' goal.

Patrice Evra - Another who soldiered on through a virus, but the Frenchman was excellent throughout and was the Reds' most menacing weapon in the second half.

Owen Hargreaves - A nightmare return for the midfielder, who lasted just four minutes of his latest comeback.

Darren Fletcher - Injected the energy required to give United a chance in the midfield battle. Constantly attempted to kickstart the Reds' play.
