Blog: Old Trafford drama

18:10 Fans on and Twitter (@Manutd) have collectively voted Wayne Rooney as our official Man of the Match today via a convincing margin. Second half substitute Adnan Januzaj was second with Japanese midfielder Shinji Kagawa placed third.

18:00 Notably, Hughes was also frustrated that Chicharito wasn't sent off for a foul on Robert Huth in the second half. "I have seen many times before when players have been sent off for lesser incidents, so we are disappointed with the decision from the referee. But all in all, we are pleased with out performance level. We came here, to one of the great stages in English football, and equipped ourselves really well."

The fans drove the team on and they played their part in getting a result. There was a great atmosphere in the second half. Obviously, they were disappointed at first because they want to see their team win, maybe more convincingly. But these comebacks have happened a lot in the past.”

17:45 The manager has just spoke to us press and, understandably, he was pleased to clinch such a dramatic victory. “I thought in the end we did have to go for it. I thought we did a lot of good things but an awful lot of really poor things, which obviously put us in the situation that we were in. Some of the play was very good but it wasn’t leading to any goals. Then, we got ourselves back into the
