57 Smalling replaces Rafael, just seconds after Real hit the post with a cross-shot from the left.

55 Chris Smalling is limbering up and will be on soon by the looks of it.

53 That's much better as Kagawa finds Evra with a cut-back that the defender forces a corner from. Then, Kagawa chips it in and Jones' fierce header draws a fine save from the keeper! 

51 Nervy stuff from United, with Jones slicing the ball dangerously close to the goal from a Real cross from the right. The visitors look livelier in this half.

48 Valencia takes a tumble in the box and wants a penalty, but nothing doing again from the Dutch referee  Bas Nijhuis.

46 We're back, and within seconds Vela is just inches away from getting a touch to a Griezmann cross inside the United area.

20:33 Exciting stuff at times, the early goal that came about thanks to an excellent effort from Rooney that hit the post, and the woodwork has been rattled by Real since. There have a few yellow cards too, and it could get tasty in the second half.
