Read how we covered United's Barclays Premier League clash with Southampton at Old Trafford...

FT: United 1-1 Southampton. It's a disappointing afternoon for the Reds, who played pretty well but were punished for failing to add to van Persie's first-half goal when Lovren pounced in the dying seconds. Saints will feel they were good value for a point but the Reds had several presentable opportunities and will rue this result.

90+4' De Gea drops onto a Lallana shot and, after United break, Rafael goes down under a Fonte challenge in the box, but no penalty is awarded.

90+3' United are piling forward but have been unable to create any openings, and Jones is booked for halting Lallana's break.

90+1' A huge roar goes around Old Trafford as stadium announcer Alan Keegan indicates there will be five minutes of stoppage time. Come on Reds!

89' GOAL. United 1-1 Southampton - Dejan Lovren. Oh no. Lovren sticks his boot out to divert an inswinging corner past De Gea and it looks like United have had victory snatched away.

87' Smalling is on for Rooney. Moments earlier, Fonte was booked for clattering into van Persie as he set off on a break.

86' Clyne finds himself in a good position inside the box after being found by a neat inside pass but his powerful shot is beaten away by De Gea. That was probably Saints' best chance.

84' Chris Smalling is warming up in the dugout. Looks like Moyes is settling for what he has. Meanwhile, Rafael blasts wildly over from distance.

83' Saints make another change, bringing on Guly Do Prado in place of Wanyama. Cue a song from the away end: "If Guly scores, we're all on the pitch."
