It's a disappointing afternoon for the Reds, who played pretty well but were punished for failing to add to van Persie's first-half goal when Lovren pounced in the dying seconds. Saints will feel they were good value for a point but the Reds had several presentable opportunities and will rue this result.

90+4' De Gea drops onto a Lallana shot and, after United break, Rafael goes down under a Fonte challenge in the box, but no penalty is awarded.

90+3' United are piling forward but have been unable to create any openings, and Jones is booked for halting Lallana's break.
