#IAMUNITED is continuing to excite Manchester United fans around the globe with Indonesia being the latest country to host a hugely successful fan party.
As with the inaugural #IAMUNITED event in New York, the United team at Old Trafford helped to deliver a day to remember for the supporters watching thousands of miles away on TV by claiming a dramatic league victory. This time Arsenal were defeated 2-1, to the obvious delight of 12,000 Reds turning up to the party at the Epiwalk in Rasuna Epicentrum, Jakarta.
Fans travelled to the event from all regions of Indonesia and nearby Malaysia, with some even coming from as far away as Borneo and Kuala Lumpur. People began to arrive at the venue as early as 15:00 local time, more than four hours ahead of kick-off. Ticket applications had been oversubscribed and supporters who were not able to get into the venue opted to stay outside rather than leave, as they still wanted to feel close to the action and catch a glimpse of the party's very special guest, United legend Andrew Cole.
After the event, some of the fans who were lucky enough to attend spoke to the #IAMUNITED camera afterwards about the electric atmosphere and the sheer joy of being able to watch the Arsenal match alongside so many other United supporters in a distinctive venue.
Feedback comments included "This event was amazing" and "You've got to be here to see this" while some fans drew comparison with the ultimate matchday experience, telling us, "The atmosphere felt like Old Trafford in the Stretford End."
