DHL, the world’s leading express and logistics company, will today deliver Manchester United’s Champions Trophy Tour to Sao Paulo in Brazil for a special event with customers and employees.
As Official Logistics Partner, DHL plays a key role behind-the-scenes when it comes to delivering success for Manchester United and has joined the club on a three-week tour of South America to celebrate the team winning a record 19th Premier League title last season.
Guests at the DHL event will be able to have their photo taken with the one of the most coveted prizes in world football – the Premier League trophy. This is the fourth such event delivered by DHL and Manchester United, following appearances in Santiago in Chile, Mexico City in Mexico and Quinto in Ecuador.
The tour, which runs until 23 October, has enabled Manchester United’s South American fan base to get closer to the club and share in the record-breaking success. Manchester United previously visited North America and Asia with the trophy.
“The visit of Manchester United’s Champions Trophy Tour to South America, and Brazil, provides us with a unique opportunity to showcase DHL’s behind-the-scenes operations with Manchester United to our key customers and staff locally," says Joakim Thrane, CEO DHL Express Brazil.
DHL Express is present in over 225 countries and 120,000 destinations worldwide. Operating in Brazil for more than 30 years, it serves more than 1,515 cities in the country, representing more than 90% of national GDP.
