Reds team up with China's aigo
United have signed an exciting new five-year partnership with aigo, the leading high-tech electronics brand from Beijing Huaqi Information Digital Technology Co. Ltd.
The deal means aigo is now United's official camera, multimedia player and storage device partner.
Reds legend Sir Bobby Charlton and director of commercial Richard Arnold announced the deal at a press conference in Beijing today (Thursday).
It gives aigo exclusive global rights to promote aigo and aigoMusic brands via the Manchester United platform, and produce and distribute co-branded cameras, multimedia players, storage devices products globally. The deal also enables aigo to produce and distribute co-branded mobile phone handsets in China.
As part of the agreement, aigo will become the official title sponsor of United’s game in Hangzhou, China, during the Reds' Asia Tour in July.
United chief executive David Gill welcomed the deal, saying: "This deal is a further demonstration of the global appeal of Manchester United. Aigo is a leader in its field and we are very excited about the possibilities that this partnership opens up. The tour match will offer our fans in China their first chance to see the partnership in action."
