Red artist's new line-up
Salford-born artist Harold Riley will unveil his new collection of Manchester United portraits next week at an exclusive Old Trafford event for specially invited guests.
Fans eager to see his paintings will not have to wait much longer, as the first pair in a series of fine art posters will be on sale at the Megastore and on ManUtd.com from 12 November. The first two on sale will be of Sir Alex Ferguson and Sir Matt Busby; the collection will then continue with players including Duncan Edwards, George Best and Ryan Giggs. The posters are limited edition and personally signed by the artist.
"In my collection of posters for the club, I have chosen managers and players that I have seen, photographed and drawn from the touchline," says Riley.
"This is certainly not an attempt to choose the 'greatest players' as that is so subjective and there are people far better qualified than I to make that selection. Instead I have chosen two managers and ten players who I have admired for their skills and commitment to Manchester United."
Look out on ManUtd.com from 12 November for details of how you can order - or even win - the posters.
