So Denis, how much are you looking forward to playing alongside some old friends on Saturday?
It’ll be great to be back amongst the lads. I see Coley [Andy Cole] quite a bit because we both do work for the club together and I bump into Yorkie [Dwight Yorke] once a year on the golf course! I haven’t seen Jaap [Stam] since he left and it’s been a while since I last saw Ronny [Johnsen] and Quinton [Fortune] so it’ll be great to catch up.

And you’re captain for the day…
I know I can’t believe it! I’m not sure who nominated me, but it’s always great to captain a United side. The most important thing is we’re all here to support a great cause and hopefully everyone will have a really enjoyable day.

Do you expect there to be any nerves amongst the celebrities?
Nah, they should be okay. It’s a great opportunity for them to play on the hallowed turf, but the one thing the celebs on both teams will find out pretty quickly is just how big the Old Trafford pitch really is. It’s therefore important not to use up too much energy too soon.
