OT art competition

Children from three local schools, all with well-established links with Manchester United, have been asked to take part in an art competition to celebrate 100 years of Old Trafford.

St. Alphonsus RC Primary School from Trafford, Light Oaks Junior School from Salford and Mount Carmel RC Primary School from Manchester have all been designated an era in the stadium's past, present or future (!) to focus on: 1910, 2010 or 2110.

Each child will create their own A3 image of Old Trafford, using their choice of materials and drawing inspiration from photos of the stadium. All the entries will be exhibited in the Family Stand concourse for the duration of 2010, and the winning pieces of artwork will remain there in a permanent display.

An evening reception to unveil the exhibition will be held for all the children and their families. Best of luck to all taking part!
