Sign up for Santa run

Hundreds of Santas will descend upon Old Trafford on Sunday 5 December to take part in an annual fun run to raise money for the Manchester United Foundation and other charities.

More than 700 people, all dressed as Father Christmas, generated over £10,000 in funds at last year's event. This year's run will be started by United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, in what will be one of his final engagements at the club before he leaves to manage Norwegian side Molde FK. Ole said: "I've really enjoyed the last two Santa runs and this will raise more money for people who really need support."

You can run for The Christie Charity, Francis House Children’s Hospice, UNICEF, the MU Foundation, the British Heart Foundation or a charity of your choice. There will be two separate runs - the 5km 'Serious Santa' challenge starting at 10:30, followed by a shorter 2km family run from 12:00. The family fun run is suitable for all, including children and anyone who merely wants to soak up the United experience at a slower pace.

Entry costs £10 for adults and £5 for children (who must be accompanied by an adult), while a family pass (two adults and two children) is £20. Each participant will receive a Santa suit.
