Two of the biggest stars to grace Old Trafford's turf will embark on a three-city Asian tour in April in a bid to raise money for charity.
Bryan Robson and Andrew Cole will travel to Bangkok (6 April), Kuala Lumpur (8 April) and Hong Kong (9 April), where fans will have the opportunity to meet the Reds legends over a three-course meal and grill them during a Q&A session. It's hoped the players, who between them made more than 700 appearances for the club, will raise a significant sum of money for UNICEF and the Manchester United Foundation.
Robson, who has lived in Bangkok since October 2009 when he took up the Thailand national team managerial post, knows all about the support United enjoy in Asia and is confident the dinners will attract fanatical crowds.
"They’re passionate about their football – you can’t get better than Manchester United fans. We have a massive following all through Asia.”
The tour has already proved a hit with the club's commercial partners. Turkish Airlines are title sponsors for the Hong Kong and Bangkok events, while Telekom Malaysia have snapped up naming rights in
